Debunking grief myths
Debunking grief myths
Date: Thursday 17 October
10.30 am – 12.00 pm
Zoom online
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Join us for a Griefline webinar designed to debunk five common myths about grief:
- Myth 1: Time heals all wounds. We’ll address the misconception that grief automatically improves with time.
- Myth 2: Crying is the only valid expression of grief. Discover why showing emotions differently doesn’t mean you aren’t grieving.
- Myth 3: Children are too young to grieve. Learn how children experience and understand loss.
- Myth 4: Grief follows a specific order of stages. Explore why grief is not a linear process with prescribed stages.
- Myth 5: Avoid mentioning the deceased to protect the bereaved. Understand the importance of talking about the person who has died.
Webinar Highlights:
- Gain insights that validate unique grief experiences.
- Learn how common myths can unintentionally hinder healing.
Please note that there will be time for questions, and we encourage respectful participation while refraining from sharing personal details that may be distressing to others.
