
Yarning Space - December - Celebrating carers
Join AJ Williams-Tchen and special guests for some music, comedy and storytelling in an end of year special yarning circle. Traditional owner and Elder Aunty Di (Wurundjeri) who will provide a beautiful welcome to country, and will spin as a few yarns about being a foster carer. Ally Walker will sing for us, including her beautiful haunting song ‘Footprints in the Sand’. We also have comedian Janty Blair to make us laugh as she shares her comedy talent with us.

The sessions are designed for carers to come together, share ideas, learn and be connected, with an overall focus of caring for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and young people and developing deeper understandings of their cultures.
AJ Williams-Tchen is a proud Wiradjuri / Wotjobulak Social Worker, Nurse & Youth Worker, Director of Girraway Ganyi Consultancy, nominee for Australian of the Year Victoria 2024 and winner of the Social Worker of the Year 2023 (Allied Health Awards).
