Youth Suicide Prevention

In this two-hour workshop, Garry King will address the topic of ‘Youth Suicide Prevention’
As a result of attending this session, carers will have an increased awareness of participants at suicide risk and protective factors, as well as an increased confidence in addressing this with young people.
The Presenter Garry King has extensive experience working with young people, as a teacher, youth worker and counsellor. This lived experience is complemented by degrees in welfare, education, counselling and suicidology. His most recent book is “School Crisis Prevention & Intervention.”
This workshop is not suitable for children and young people. We ask that they not be present to see or hear any of the workshop. If you would like to engage in this workshop but the time is not suitable, please let us know a time that would suit you better.
The session is designed for kinship, foster and permanent carers.
