Understanding Adolescence to build connection, influence, regulation and wellbeing

Date: Wednesday 4 December

Time: 7pm – 9.30pm

Location: Zoom online

This 3-hour webinar will support carers to understand the changes that happen in the brain during adolescence. Carers will learn how these changes reflect in their relationship with their adolescents, peer relationships, sleep, behaviour, risk taking, mood, and general wellbeing. Carers will also learn the shifts required from their training to maximise the capacity to support, guide, understand them, and minimise conflict.

This webinar is presented by Karen Young, who began her career as a psychologist in private practice and is now recognised as a leading authority on child and adolescent anxiety. Karen created Hey Sigmund, an internationally popular online resource, is the author of 5 books, has appeared on television and radio, and has proven popular in presenting previous Carer Kafe webinars

The session is designed for kinship, foster and permanent carers.
